Aerial Yoga is a form of yoga where you play with the floor, the fabric, your bodyweight and gravity. Aerial Yoga has acrobatic aspects to it and is accessible for both beginners and people with more experience in yoga and movement.
During the practice of Aerial Yoga you play and explore with your body, being and experience: 'Can I trust myself, the fabric and gravity?' 'Can I truly, let go?' 'Can I team up with the fabric and work in partnership with it?' 'Can I have fun while also being in tune with my body and mind?'
Aerial Yoga gives you a beautiful mix of physical workout in strength and flexibility, mindfulness practices, relaxation in the body and mind and last but not least, it's serious fun!
I teach classes and workshops that guide you in having a safe and enjoyable experience with what Aerial Yoga has to offer. There are three different styles of Aerial Yoga that I teach:
Aerial Yoga - Basics - a classic form of Aerial Yoga. A good mix between the mindful practice of yoga and the more active and acrobatic aspect of moving within the hammock. Aerial Yoga - Basics - will give you a nice and balanced class of relaxation, challenge and workout while flying through the air!
Aerial Yoga - Restorative - guides you into a deep relaxation of the body and the mind. This slower form of Aerial Yoga supports the body to move, stretch and strengthen in a conscious and gentle way. It invites your body and mind to let go and restore. Join Aerial Yoga - Restorative - And you will feel reborn.
Aerial Yoga - Acrobatics - will challenge those who like a bit more of an acrobatic experience in the hammock. For this style of Aerial Yoga you need some experience, strength and flexibility to work with. Always wanted to feel what it's like to hang in the fabric like a 'Cirque du Soleil' artist? Then join us because this is your chance!

"Every Aerial Yoga class I take with Tess makes me feel excited and curious about the next one. Tess teaches in a bright, fun and personal way. Everyone can go at their own pace and therefore hang in the hammock with a smile on their face. Tess uses gentle movements for deep relaxation and more challenging and acrobatic poses to give us a bit of a challenge and work out. I love the fact that she provides multiple options within most of the poses. This way I can discover my own limits and boundaries while giving myself and my body to the hammock and let gravity do its work. Tess’s Aerial yoga classes aren’t only good for your body and mind, they’re also fun and make me a happy, flying Yogi!"

"After my first class it was clear to me: ‘I’m in love with Aerial Yoga!’ Not only because it's super fun but also because Tess gives it that little extra attention and love. Tess activates your senses and creates unique classes where I can fully be and feel myself. I often forget about the outside world and all the ‘to do’s’ I have. It allows me to be with myself, be challenged, relax, have fun, feel inspired and loved. It's awesome!"

"After I’ve done different yoga practices for a few years I tried out an Aerial yoga class with Tess as a teacher. I was very curious about it because it looked quite impressive. Tess’s class was in one word, fantastic. In a gentle and relaxing way she shows and helps you in the different positions within the hammock. With her help, very quickly I felt safe and comfortable in my hammock. A beautiful bonus comes at the end of the class when everyone is in relaxation. Tess walks through the space while singing and sharing her beautiful voice. Very special. So I’d say, go and experience Aerial Yoga with Tess, it's a true pleasure."

"Tess’s classes are a very good mix between laughing and playing and practising mindfulness and working out the body. The first few times I still had some difficulties with some of the postures but I’ve noticed that after taking a few classes I made progress very fast. Something that's very nice and fun to experience. I think everybody can join these classes, Tess certainly makes you feel safe and welcome. See you in the hammock!"

Aerial Yoga was new to me, but since the first experience I was hooked! I've done other yoga styles for some years, but what I love with aerial yoga is mostly the playful element which gives me a lot of energy. Besides that energy that Tess helps create in class, she also finds a way to help me relax by touching all the senses with essential oils, a gentle touch and her beautiful vocals during the meditation. To me, Tess's Aerial yoga is a great way to have fun, stretch, relax and work-out at the same time.
